The resonance of the sacred Pranava mantra 'AUM' periodically and cyclically sets off the process of creation.
Sri Mahaganapathi, the embodiment of wisdom and the God of auspicious beginnings is said to be a personification of 'Omkaaram' which is primordial to all Veda mantras.

'Rangoli',  journey through colours of life...

In a rangoli too, the patterns created and the colours used to embellish it with, are the discretion of the artist. While life may seem transient, a rangoli painted in the canvas of life leaves an everlasting impression on the beholder!
